The South African International Tattoo Convention 2026
The South African International Tattoo Convention (SAITC) returns to Cape Town for its 8th annual edition, expanding into a larger venue and delivering its biggest show yet. Taking place from 13 to 15 March 2026 at the DHL Stadium in Green Point, the convention will span three full floors dedicated to world-class tattooing, art, and culture.
Recognised as one of the most significant tattoo gatherings on the international convention calendar — and the only event of its kind in Africa — SAITC continues to raise the standard of professional tattooing on the continent. The 2026 edition features a curated lineup of over 130 tattooers from over 18 countries, each presenting their personal styles across more than 15 genres of modern and traditional tattooing.
With three floors of tattooing, guests will have access to an unprecedented range of international talent under one roof.
Attendees are encouraged to pre-book sessions directly with attending artists to avoid disappointment, but walk-ups are available on the day, where you can select flash designs from available artists.
Beyond tattooing, SAITC offers a vibrant atmosphere designed for a broad audience. The three-day show includes live music, food trucks, a curated market of fashion and lifestyle vendors, specialty coffee, and a fully stocked beer garden. The event is family friendly, although children under five years old are not permitted inside the tattoo hall.
The convention is celebrated not only for its world-class tattooing but also for its unique community spirit. It serves as a global meeting place where traveling artists and collectors connect, share stories, exchange ideas, and celebrate tattoo culture in a professional and welcoming environment.
