The horison (Eng: horizon) is not only the distant line where the earth meets the sky; it also serves as a philosophical boundary, an ephemeral line of enlightenment, and a conceptual axis inspiring centuries of knowledge, aspirations, movements, and artistic creativity. This exhibition reflects on the horizon line as a critical organising concept—one that enables us to unite a diverse range of both South African and international artists whose work engages the threshold space between land and sky.
