Lakritz

Lakritz is an artist-run space based in Chintsa East, Eastern Cape, encompassing a gallery, an evolving art garden, a small publication, and accommodation for visiting artists. In addition, we facilitate intimate events such as readings, talks, and guided walks, creating a space where visitors can experience, pause, and engage with contemporary art.

Lakritz is focused on supporting and giving exposure to both emerging and established artists, with a strong emphasis on African talent within an international dialogue.
